A Fiery Forge

The Armoury really was on fire. The side of the two-story building was burning bright orange and red in the night. It lit up the other wooden houses and shops. About a dozen workers were trying their best to put out the fire. At the same time, the other dozen were fending off black decked Shi.

There were about five of them. Each sporting a sword in one hand and a shield. Their armor was black but still looking like the typical Shi design.

The workers didn't stand a chance in the face of special trained soldiers. It was a blood bath with the workers being cut down without a care. Their blood filled the streets, not draining into the sewage because, well, the Capital didn't have one.  It wasn't invented yet.

I jumped in between the two survivors of twelve. Shadiàn drawn.
