Morning broke, painting the sky with shades of pink and gold. The palace, with its grandeur and stoic presence, seemed untouched by the turmoil that raged within its walls.

As I stood in the vast courtyard, the morning sun warmed my skin, but its radiance couldn't penetrate the shadow of worry that enveloped me. Each passing day felt like an eternity without Emily by my side.
