133. TRAUMA OF THE OTHER GUY

Nicholas did not say a word to anyone when he was admitted.

He was attended to by different nurses. He shut both doctors and interns out whenever they tried to communicate with him.

He did nothing but glare at the ceiling with no sign of acknowledgment or response. Frustrated, they wondered if he could understand them at all.

Nicholas replayed the fight in his head over and over again. It had become like a trauma in his head. He came to one undeniable conclusion. He had no chance from the beginning. Matteo not only baited him but outclassed him totally during their bouts.

"How did I not see this coming?" He asked himself. He might have asked that question a thousand times now.

He realized that Matteo was faster and had predicted his moves with uncanny precision.
