Chapter 40 Life Upside Down

"Natalie, are you ready? By the way, thank you! Supposed to be, it's your rest day, but still, you insist on coming with me, "as I expressed my gratitude.

"Yup, I'm ready, Ms. Hannah. You are the missing piece in my puzzling life," she said amusingly. She meant that she was waiting on me.

"You haven't changed, Natalie, and you're still as funny as ever. I'll hang up the phone now. See you in an hour."

I just grabbed my bag and shut the door as I left the house. I'm ashamed of Natalie because I'm late.

"Oh Natalie, why are you sitting in the back?" astonished, I asked her as we settled in the car.

"I'm okay here, Ms. Hannah," she replied while preoccupied with the phone. She was probably chatting with Ethan.

"Okay, go ahead if that's what you want," Natalie squealed as I started the car, so I stopped for a moment.

"Oh, what's wrong, Natalie ?" I asked as I turned to check on her. She held onto her forehead as she slumped against the car seat's headrest.
