Chapter Fifty-Three

Aunt Courtney had a powerful weapon that could trap a witch or witches all this while! We could’ve used it on Mabel a long time ago. Maybe Mom would still be alive and we would be enjoying life peacefully without my evil witch of a grandmother by now. I had asked Courtney why it took so long to bring this up and show it to us and why was she pulling it out now. She claimed to know that Mabel was planning to do something despicable this time around and needed to trap her since the whole town had had enough of her and before things got so out of hand that we wouldn’t be able to reverse it

I guess that was a good enough reason but the old hag had been doing despicable things even before Courtney’s older sister was born.
