Mark slumps back on the bed weakly after Glinda leaves the room. Her mere presence can wear him out completely. He closes his eyes in annoyance and tries to distract himself by recalling all the events that have happened to him since yesterday. He is unable to understand why everything has turned out this way. Mark is the kind of person who always has firm control over his emotions. But since last night, he has a feeling as if things are no longer in his control. Since the time he met Glinda, nothing has been going the way he wanted. "Sigh! Let's just go with the flow for now."
At this moment, he focuses on his most prominent issue and hauls himself out of the bed, and makes his way to the bathroom, shedding his clothes along the way. It's now time to take a cold shower. ****** Blake is leaning his head against the back of the coach. He is silently listening to the running of the water from the shower upstairs. He has been aware that he is actiOnce again, Mark is standing in the same clearing where he used to play as a child. For a moment, he panics and, in his mind, he wonders, “Am I dead? Again?” But he doesn’t have to wait for the answer for too long. Just then, he hears an angry growl from behind him. Because of his instincts, he immediately turns around, looking alert and defensive at the same time. Behind him, he sees a large black wolf with dark, shiny eyes. It’s almost 7.5 ft tall and 12 ft long. Under the moonlight, its black fur is gleaming like silk. With its majestic bearing, it would have been a sight to behold, if only his fangs were not baring at him. He also has a feeling as if the wolf is glaring at him as well. From its appearance, the wolf seems quite familiar to him. He looks at it more closely and ponders, “where was it? Or am I just thinking too much?” After a few seconds of
“Blake…” “Blake, I am sorry!” Mark apologises to Blake. But it’s like Blake is unable to hear him at all. Mark tries more to communicate with him “Blake, it’s really not my intention to push you away!” He sneakily looks at Blake and continues “you suddenly came at me…I was so shocked that I accidentally... a-are you alright?” Mark tries hard to reason with Blake, but for Blake, it seems like he has lost all his senses after the fall. He is now a bit annoyed with himself. He knows that he is not good with words and so, no matter how hard he tries, it will aggravate their misunderstandings and hence will only worsen the situation. So, feeling helpless, he gives up for the time being. He a
Mark presses his head against Blake's chest as Blake holds him securely in his arms. He listens to the subtle rhythms of his heartbeats like a lullaby and just like that he gradually falls asleep. Night slowly deepens. Their even breathings gradually echo inside the quiet room. Suddenly, Blake opens his eyes. His red eyes are looking more glaring in the dark night. He carefully moves his body a bit and lowers his face and looks at the sleeping figure of Mark, who is still sleeping very soundly in his arms. The pair of red eyes that are currently looking at Mark are filled with many complex emotions. Since the very beginning, Blake has been blaming Mark for always abandoning him time and again. But now, after taking a peek at the memories from his past,
“Hello. I am Sam Darren, Mr. Worthington’s lawyer”.“Mark Alvarez” He extends his hand out for a handshake.Sam curiously looks at Mark with an obvious question mark on her face regarding his relationship with Blake. Realizing her enquiring look, he adds “Blake’s boyfriend.” Sam’s eyes widen in surprise. With an exaggeratedly loud voice she squeals, "BOYFRIEND! Oh M-A-M-A M-I-A THIS IS HUGE!" She is having a hard time keeping the excitement from bursting out. What did I just learn? Boss has a boyfriend! I have to tell this...I have to tell this to everyone. They're going to get the shock of their life today... hahaha...Later, I also have to text Keith to know more on this. Seriously, our boss is really something. Hehe! I can’t imagine what kind of expression he is gonna make after I tease him about this. What a splendid scene that’s gonna be! Indeed, this trip is worth my effort. Hahaha…!To be honest, she
Although it's only been a few days, Mark feels like it's been years since he last walked in through that door. As soon as he steps out, he notices Blake sitting inside the car, looking somewhere focused, his hand resting casually on the driver's door, seemingly lost in thought. Seeing him acting this way, Mark again re-remembers what has happened earlier. Sigh! Let's not ruin our mood today. Today is our first outing together after all. He cheerfully walks down the stairs towards the black Porsche parked next to the fountain. He then pulls the front door open, and gets in. M
Mark finally opens his eyes. His head is spinning, and hurting like hell. He moves his head a little... “ow!”. The pain is so sharp that he immediately lets out a painful groan. Due to this, he is continuously feeling a tendency to vomit. “Damn them! Really my miscalculation this time. Next time I’m gonna rip them off one by one myself.” He lets out a series of curses through his gritted teeth in order to vent his anger and shame. He is usually used to injuries. Pain has always been a part of his life since he started his revenge. But this time even he himself has to admit that his enemies went too far this time. According to him, they might have used all their energy in that one single blow.
It’s been two days since the brain surgery. There is no sign of him waking up at all. His heart is beating fine, all of his vitals are normal and yet he is still in a coma. After various medical tests have been done, even the doctors are now unsure of the specific cause behind him not waking up. Now, all Blake can do is hope that Mark will wake up soon. Since that day, Blake has been taking care of him all by himself day and night without even getting a wink of sleep. He hasn’t even gone to work and has been handling every office affair from the hospital. Because of over-exhaustion, his whole appearance has become haggard with visible dark circles under his eyes. Just now he has ended his video conference with his assistant, who was briefing him about the day’s work. After finishing the conference, he swiftly closes his laptop and gently presses his tired eyes, hoping to drive out some of his tiredness. After putting aside his laptop, he rises from his seat a
Cassandra tries hard to stay calm, even as she felt a chill settled inside her and felt panic setting in. The pressure that she is feeling right now is too much for her to bear. It’s making her feel suffocated. If she had been an ordinary human, she would have fainted long ago from how intense this pressure was. But with her ability, she is somehow able to endure it and thus keep herself from fainting any time soon. Her sharp nails are digging into her skin as she is clenching her fingers hard into a fist. Drops of blood are trickling down from her fists which is making her hands blood all over. But her face is still as calm and expressionless as ever. Besides a pale face, she isn’t showing any other sign of discomfort at all, this was not the time to show weakness. “The wolf was far too strong for us to capture him while conscious, my Lord. Thus, I put a strong spell on a metal bolt and Flint used it to
