Forever part of me

"It will pass soon," he assured her, leaning over to place a soft kiss against the side of her cheek.

He smiled as he looked at her, then quickly went into the bathroom. After a few moments he came out again with a damp washcloth and placed it on the back of her neck.

"This will help with your nausea," he said.

"The last time it happened like this you had to take medicine. You're going to need those medicines today if you want to get well."

"I guess…" she murmured quietly, her voice muffled by the cloth covering her mouth.

He frowned as he sat down next to her on the edge of the bed.

"I've told you before that I want to be able to give you everything. And I intend to do so, so long as you allow me to," he reminded her.

"Of course I trust you," she insisted quietly.

He smiled faintly.

"Good," he said as he pulled her in close and wrapped his arms tightly around her.
