I feel hot from the moment Kaanadan touched me like that. And I blame it on that for agreeing to come with him to a place other than where the party takes place. I blame it on that, because I'm looking forward to something I don't even know what's going to happen. And I blame it on that, that I'm following him even though a part of me is screaming at me to back off.

The rustic brown elevator sign announces that we have reached the top floor of the mansion where Cavallaro's party takes place. The doors open and I don't look at Kaanadan, I just follow him through the silent and spacious floor that leads us to three different corridors. We follow the middle one.

The lights disappear and only candle lamps are left, which are present every four steps down the corridor. I feel tense. And when Kaanadan opens the double doors pushing them in different directions, we are plunged into a room lit by the red lamp.
