The car stopped in the middle of the lawn in front of the house. A two-story house, a cliché rich country house, with a super green lawn right at the entrance — with trees in each corner and plants beautifying each place —, dark varnished wood climbing the area, highlighting the white walls and rustic windows, different on the second floor, where they are made of glass.

I leave quickly, without even a trace of tears and a wide smile to meet Gina. We hugged tightly, as if somehow she could protect me from my father, even though she didn't even know it.

As we walked away, we looked at each other; your hands touching my face with a maternal touch.
