"Hey, you," Killian chuckled, his footsteps echoing on the path. "You've been acting like a ninja all afternoon."

I plastered a fake smile on my face. In his outstretched arm, he held a cone of ice cream. I thanked him and he grinned, dropping his hand over my shoulder possessively.

"Be my muse," he dragged me along, making me pose for photographs. "Get your butt in gear."

"Come on, Killian," I groaned, dragging my feet while he led me under an oak tree.

Killian kept snapping photos of me as if there was no tomorrow. CJ however was fuming. The lines around his mouth became sharpened, eyes narrowing in anger.

For a second, I panicked and began to sweat profusely. The moment his eyes met mine, the anger slipped away, replaced by something warmer - his famous half-smile that made me forget every single reason not to fall for him.

To avoid Killian suspecting anything, I behaved myself and stayed away from CJ, while CJ kept sending me angry emojis that made me laugh. I could see
