Disguised

The sound of a pen tapping on the marble table echoed rapidly. Whatever was on his mind, Dominik stared straight ahead without blinking. His right hand was playing with the pen, tapping it on the table. The creak of the open door went unnoticed.

"Sir, are you unwell?" Arion furrowed his brow deeply. It was unusual to see his boss looking so uninspired.

"Do I look like I'm sick?" Dominik stopped the movement of his hand playing with the pen, shifting his sharp gaze towards Arion.

Arion looked awkward, realizing that his boss could sometimes be like a hungry lion ready to pounce on anyone, though the cause remained a mystery. "You seem uninspired," Arion cautiously said, scratching his non-itchy neck.

'It must be related to Miss Adine,' Arion speculated inwardly.

Dominik waited to respond to Arion's words. He leaned his head back against the chair, exhaling in frustration. "I am indeed uninspired today," Dominik finally replied.
