Chapter 35 : A New Plan

In the morning, I woke up, stretching and yawning. I realized I was in the arms of Alexander, which caused me to blush a bit and snuggle back. The vampire gave a little 'hm?' noise and slowly began to wake up himself.

At the moment, I wasn't sure when he came to it entirely, since my back was facing him. However, when I felt him remove his arm and sit up, I knew he was fully awake. I did the same, sitting up, stretching, and looking at him with a smile.

"Thanks for staying with me," I said.

"Of course. You were comfortable. No reason for me to leave," he said with a slight smile.

I let out a comfortable sigh, glancing toward the window and seeing a glow from the blocked curtains. Checking my phone, I realized it was midday. I wondered how long I slept, though I supposed it wasn't too important. As long as I felt rested and got some energy back, I would be alright.
