A war?

Isla's POV:

Breakfast was waiting for me on the table beside my bed when I woke up. At some point during the night, I had fallen asleep after crying my heart out. I cried for Katalina, my uncle and my freedom. They were dead because of me and yet I was here in another cage.

The negative thoughts about their last memories kept my eyes wet for another hour before I finally decided that remembering them would only be worth it when I had gotten what they wanted me to have.

My life, to be back in my hands.

Alpha Caden was not in the room, which gave me the opportunity to think about my next steps. If I wanted to protect my children and get them out of this situation, I needed to be smart and attentive. My first priority was to convince Doctor Crystal not to disclose my pregnancy, as that would buy me some time to plan my escape.
