Chapter sixty

Zirah's POV

"You need to eat," Erica tells me, pushing the food to my side but I just turn away, hugging the pillow to my chest.

It was a dreadful sight to behold honestly, my hair hung down my shoulders in limp ringlets and my clothes were the same ones I wore throughout yesterday.

My face was pale with several sleep bags under my eyes.

I've been locked in here for over a week, with food and water brought to me three times a day.

I was fully healed from all the resting I'd been forced to do since I couldn't go anywhere.

I could forgive Damon for his barbaric attitude if he didn't keep me away from my children.

I almost ran mad because I was always obsessing if they were fine or even alive.

The only grace I got to alleviate my worry was when one of the maids brought them to see me for just three hours and then took them back, despite my pleading, kicking, and screaming.

And I haven't seen them since then.

Just once, in twelve days.
