Chapter twenty-eight

Zirah's POV

Still, in a state between consciousness and unconsciousness, I felt water dripping down my cheek. Teetering on the line between I fought to regain consciousness but the pounding in my head wouldn't let me….until I was rudely awakened by a splash of ice-cold water on my head.

Immediately my eyes flashed open as I fought to breathe, the cold water momentarily numbing my brain.

"Ughhh…" I tried to groan out loud before discovering my mouth was closed. I wearily brought out my tongue and I tasted something metallic realizing my mouth was covered with a rag. I resisted the urge to retch as I tried to open my eyes which seemed like they were glued together. Opening my bleary eyes, I struggled to adjust to the dim lightening, looking around as much as my stiff neck and throbbing head would allow, I saw windows that were covered with nylon….was that nylon?

It looked translucent and thick at the same time. I wondered why whoever brought me here felt the need to cover the windows if
