Punishment

Camilla stayed in the room for hours waiting for Dante. She was already feeling sleepy when the door opened at last. Dante entered the room carrying a tray of food. He set the plate in front of her.

"Eat!" he ordered.

Camilla didn't argue with him, she was already starving. She quickly ate the food.

After eating, she looked at him tentatively. "are you still angry?" she asked him.

"Yes" he retorted.

"Would it help if I apologized?" she asked.

"maybe" he replied.

"I am sorry for taking your car out" she said.

"and?" he prompted.

"For breaking your rules and disrespecting your authority" she added.

"Why?" he asked.

"Why what?"

"Why did you do it even though you knew that it was wrong?" he asked.

"you weren't coming out to do anything and I knew you would be busy worrying about your brother, so I wanted you to focus on something else instead. And, I was also bored, I missed talking with you" she answered.
