How it started

She opened her eyes slowly and all she could feel was an acrid pain on her head and thighs. She hadn’t felt this way before, she thought as she looked at the other side of the bed. Her eyes fell on the windows and she could see from the outside view that it was morning already. Her heart skipped as she recalled how she had slept over at the lodge. Everything that happened last night became clear in her head and she placed a palm on her forehead immediately.

She looked around the room but there was no sign of him. She looked underneath the duvet covering her body and she sighed heavily as she found herself unclad. Her lips were quite swollen and her whole body ached badly.

Just then, she saw him walking into the room, wearing only black shorts over his bare chest.

“Hey,” he called in a deep voice as he walked over to the bed.

Her heart skipped and she couldn’t bring her face to look at him. She felt shy, guilty and unsure of everything at the moment.
