Chapter XLIII
Jimmy was lying on his old bed. His room was still as dark and messy as he left it before. He was looking at the ceiling, hoping he would empty his mind in order to be able to make the portal appear again, but the thoughts of his friends getting hurt during the battle were haunting him. He saw creatures dying in front of his eyes, they lost their lives in a short moment and all because of him. He was the main reason why the King declared the war on his brother. It was his fault for coming up with that plan and also his fault because he wanted to be with Taegen without having anyone ruin their relationship.
He closed his eyes and tried to sleep for a while, but he couldn't.
He sighed heavily and left his bed, "I can't stay here." he mumbled. He grabbed his wallet and keys and left his apartment.

The next morning, Jimmy and his mother had breakfast together in the cottage. She hugged him tightly and watched him leave the house, heading to the castle.He decided to leave his fear and insecurities behind and face the King no matter what happens.He left the forest and found himself in the village.
