ROSE POV

Immediately I stepped out of the cab, I hurried towards the elevator and then got in. Ignoring a co tenant, I sank into the wall, trying to steady my breathing but couldn't.

“Are you alright?” The lady asked and I quickly nodded to avoid further questioning.

“It's fine if you don't want to share but if it's something you can't handle all by yourself, you can always come to me.” She said and at that moment, the door gave way. Not bothering to give her a response, I stuttered out.

Now standing in front of my door, I was searching for my card hurriedly. When I felt a strong gaze on me, I relaxed and then pulled it out.

It turned out to be the same lady, this time around, I waved at her and then slipped into my house, slamming the door shut.

With my back rested against the door, my eyes were tightly shut. At the moment, my heart was ramming against my chest in quick succession and my heavy breathing couldn't help matters.
