The Threat

I could not count how many times he muttered curses before he vanished into thin air.

Meanwhile, here I am left dumbfounded on what had just happened earlier.

My mind was debating whether we really did it or not. Technically, yes we sure did. But it was the fault of our recklessness so in my opinion it was not counted.

I was sitting on the floor, my body was stupefied for a brief time.

I touched the cut on my lip, as I flinched in pain.  

When we lose balance and stumbled towards each other, my body went sideward. I don’t know what had gotten into him, but  he was able to catch me with his arms

This resulted in the two of us falling straight to the hard ground, while I was on top of him.

The impact was stronger than we have calculated. With the event happening so fast, all I could remember was his lips parted a lit
