Chapter 88 : Old Habits Die Hard

"You shouldn't look at me like that," I said. My cheeks burned as I felt the chill of the air on my breasts and quickly closed the robe over my body. I couldn't push back the memories of what it had been like to have his hands all over me. My pulse raced as I cursed the warm pulling inside of my abdomen.

"I know," Ellis said, nodding his understanding. "But, you have such an exquisite body. And this is the body that gave me my son."

I held my breath at the unexpected sentiment.

"You're not my boyfriend. Bennett is." I reminded myself as well as him. Shaking my head, I turned my eyes from him as I moved to get off of the bed.

"Bennett isn't your boyfriend. I know that for a fact."

"What do you think you know?" I scooted closer to the edge and stood up.

Ellis moved in front of me, his gentle breath floating over my face. I looked up at him, swallowing hard as our lips were a moment apart.
