Chapter 118: Hiding Something

KEIRA’s POV

I lay on my bed, staring up at the ceiling as my mind raced with anxious thoughts. The room was so dark that I could barely see my own hand in front of me. The curtains were drawn tightly over the window, blocking out any sliver of sunlight that dared to enter. It was daytime, but it might as well have been the middle of the night.

Calvin's sudden appearance had shaken me to my core. When he disappeared from our lives, I was glad. I thought I was finally safe, but his appearance had shattered that illusion. I was too scared to leave my room, too scared to face him again.

What if he was right outside the house, waiting for me? Now, I was hyper-aware of my surroundings.

My anxiety was at an all-time high, and every little sound made me jump. I could not focus on anything, and my mind was constantly racing with worst-case scenarios. I felt trapped, like a prisoner in my own room.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door and Natasha's voice calling out to me. "Keira, are you okay?
