Chapter 81: Yoga

KEIRA’s POV

The birds chirping happily outside the window roused me up from my sleep. I groaned as I stretched my body on Clint's king-sized bed. My eyes slid open, and they fell on the other side of the bed, which was empty.

I pushed myself into a sitting position and looked around the room, my mind still half asleep. The birds kept chirping, and somehow, I enjoyed the melodious tune they produced.

But where was Clint? I turned to the bedside table, and my phone came to view.

I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the drowsiness of a long day as I picked up my phone. I decided to give my dad a call just to check up on him and see how he was doing. I dialed his number and held my breath as I waited for him to answer.

But there was no answer. I tried again and again, but each time I was met with silence. My heart started to race as I realised something might be wrong. Paranoia clouded my mind instantly. A tight knot began to form in my stomach.
