Chapter 85.

Dahlia POV.

Last night was amazing. We made love under the meteor shower and let our wolves do their own thing. They played, they fought and then they too went at it like rabbits. I was grossed out, but I just blocked her out.

Waking up this morning under a canopy of leaves, the sunlight flits through the gaps and, for once, I don’t feel anxious about not being in my nest. So I think that is progress. The only thing that is worrying me is getting back up off the forest floor.

Malachi chuckles beside me, and I lift my head from his chest and look down at him.

“I will help you up,” he says and I nod my head, my cheeks heating slightly that he was inside my head.

“I suppose we better make our way back to the packhouse.” He says as he stretches and yawns. I move and sit up. The light catches the ring on my finger. I study it and I smile softly at it.

Mal told me last night that the ring was his mothers and that she would have wanted me to have it. I was honoured to have a piece of her wit
