I came out from my office and stared at the figure from a clearer view and it was no other person than the fair lady from the night before. She looked more beautiful than I expected. What was she doing here? Unless she was Miss Swift? I thought.
I returned to my office and I continued watching the Duo from the screen. Chole has never been this comfortable with any woman, even her nanny. I picked up my phone and texted Raymond. “Quick background check of Miss Swift".
Few minutes later, I received an email.
“Fullname: Irene Swift. Hair color: brown. Eyes color: brown. Degree: Bachelor in Business administration, masters in Public administration. Age: 26. Marital status: single for almost four years. Social scandal: none. Hobbies: Reading and swimming.”
I kept going through the email and I found nothing wrong. She appeared like the most perfect lady I have met in a while. My doubts kicked in and the memories of the other night flashed again.
After a stressful busy day, I stood at the hotel's balcony with a glass of water to cool my nerves. I got back to the bedroom to find a woman's clothing all over, to my surprise I saw a beautiful woman wrapped in my towel. This was enough reason to get angry, but I couldn't.
Her eyes were lost and her bare body before me was a trigger. I have never lost control over a woman since I lost Chole's mom. Over the years, I had passed many more tempting women, but this was hard. Immediately her hands touched my face, I got hard in seconds. My own hands had minds of their own and they caressed her waist softly.
Immediately we kissed, I perceived an offensive smell, it was alcohol! I tried pushing off, but my body was hell mad over the perfect body I had seen in five years. From her soft breasts to her moist, slippery and tight pu**y, to her soft body I totally lost control. I held her in my arms as I buried myself deeply in her.
That was the best part of my day. It felt different with her. After our intense moment, I watched her slowly fall asleep. In the shower, I stood thinking about all that just happened. A strange woman who got her way to my bed was no mistake. The only thing I could think of was scandal.
At dawn, I neatly arranged my work documents and her clothes before heading out. I couldn't leave without having a conversation with her. For the first time, I felt I had done something wrong. After paying her, she rejected the offer and tried to manipulate her way. I had come across many others like her. I understood their tricks.
Before leaving, I had kept a post pill with a threatening note on the table. Few hours later, I received a call from my hotel manager. He had informed me of the money that was found in the room I had passed the night. I smirked and asked him to keep it as a tip.
Guilt had pricked my mind. I felt strange for judging her wrongly or not getting to know her better. Getting to see her today as Miss Swift, was hard to balance. I kept watching from the screen and noticed how perfect her smile was.
Immediately she stepped in, I perceived a familiar perfume. It was from the other night. No doubt, Miss Swift was the woman from the other night. I couldn't keep in my guilt the moment she stepped in, I had to turn away immediately she entered.
I listened to her talk with so much elegance, fluency and potential. I was almost tempted to turn around. I was interested in helping her, but I thought of a price for my help but I could barely see anything. I thought harder and Chole came to my mind. Yes!!! Chole.
Chole had been throwing tantrums of late, and her therapist had advised that I get Chole a female influence. A friend, relative, grandma or something. All of these were nearly impossible. Chole had none of these. I was her only relative and friend? There was none I could trust.
Seeing Irene's connection with Chole, I immediately imagined them as a mom and daughter. For the first time, I thought of replacing Naomi. I turned to meet her and noticed Chole too. Did this lady bring in a child she just met to her meeting? I walked to Chole and instructed her to go wait at the secretary's office.
I noticed how uneasy my presence made Irene. She almost passed out. Seeing her battle that hard, I immediately felt bad for not getting to hear her explain further. I have always known how to hide my feelings, this time it wasn't difficult.
I stated my terms to her and she was not pleased! She was totally speechless and nervous. I understood she needed time to think it through, I gave her 30 hrs to think it through. Immediately she turned to leave,I noticed how well curvy of a woman she was. I shamelessly looked away and continued with my activities.
Irene's POV.
I walked out of Damien's office with my heart raising fast. I desperately waited for the elevator before dashing in like I was being chased by a monster. Immediately I noticed Damien was the strange man from the hotel, I felt like burying myself.
What would a man who humiliated me want from me? I got to the reception and signaled Madison and we stepped out together as she struggled to keep up with my pace. “Ma'am, what happened? Hey!" Madison tried to keep up but I hurriedly entered the car and slammed the door.
I tried to digest all that going on but I couldn't. From a sweet child, to a man willing to help me and finally a contract from a man who doesn't respect me?. “You are driving Maddie” I said tossing the car to her. Madison quickly changed seats and took over the wheels.
I noticed Madison's curious gaze throughout our way home from the rear mirror. She had a lot of questions and I wasn't in the mood to explain them all to her. I got to my room and Madison's voice wouldn't stop trailing behind me.
“Irene, I deserve to know what is going on!! You should see me as a best friend now and not your personal assistant. I need to know if it ended well or like the others. There is no time to waste. We need to keep moving and I need you to say something first, “ she said, controlling her breath.
I reluctantly agreed and sat on the sofa. I took off my wristwatch and let go of my hair and a few buttons. “He agreed to help. But I don't know if I can accept his hands” I said, slightly moved to tears. Madison hurriedly sat beside me with a smile “this is good news Irene. Yes!!" She exclaimed.
“What were his terms? Did he demand half the company or a larger part of the company's outcome?” She asked. I silently nodded NO. "He didn't ask for a dime. He asked me to be his child's mom" I said with a broken heart. The space stopped and I could notice Madison's shock.
After minutes of silence, Madison took water from the dispenser and swallowed it up in a gulp. "He wants you to be his surrogate? She asks almost whispering. I looked at Madison in surprise " hell no Maddie”. I kept my pace and tried so hard to break it for Madison.
"He has a baby girl. The girl at the reception! Chole is his daughter. He wants me to be a mother figure to Chole. And according to him, it is only through marriage. He wants me to marry him in exchange” I explained as simply as I could. Madison paced for a while before sitting down. “It isn't that bad! He is a good man, you like his child already and it is for the best" she tried to be positive. I chuckled bitterly and whispered “you think?". Madison listed out how beneficial the union will be to me and the company. “He is a good man. Since he lost his wife, I heard he has never messed around with other women. If he finds interest in you, it means it is a good thing” Maddie tried to find Rays of hope in the whole situation. Somehow I found Madison's words offensive and I didn’t know when I yelled. “He is the same damn guy from the other night!!!. He is the same man I spent the night with". I cried, frustrated and confused. Madison's jaw dropped at my words. She was at a lo
I was speechless and confused. Who exactly have I gotten married to? I questioned myself. Soon, Damien and Madison were done and we planned to leave. “What's your name?" Damien asked Madison. Madison looked at me surprised before responding to his question. Damien nodded and picked his phone. “Madison, you and Raymond are going to get my wife's belongings. We are heading out” Damien dropped a big bomb. Raymond and Madison stared at each other, jaws dropped. I turned and picked up my purse following his lead. We got to his car and he zoomed off without a word. We got to a familiar route and I immediately recognized my father's estate. “Bright smiles, we are in love" Damien said before stepping out. He helped me with the door and took me by the hand. Damien was radiating with happiness. He had bright smiles as he greeted my father's staff. We got to my father's favorite spot, the garden and Damien immediately went forward to greet him. “Hi dad. How are you feeling?" I asked, s
I stood on the door waiting patiently for Chole's response, but there was none from her. I knocked and all I heard was “Go away". Chole yelled sobbing. I knew this was definitely a bad idea, but I had no choice. I walked downstairs purged in my own thoughts. I really could understand Chole's reaction. It reminded me of my reaction when dad introduced Annabel and Cole. I couldn't blame the kid, I was selfish. I did all this for my company and interest without considering hers. I thought of how I felt betrayed and lied to, now I am left to pay for their recklessness and irresponsibility. I got downstairs to meet the butler who was dressed neatly. It seemed like he had been waiting for me to get down. With a smile, he greeted me. “Good morning ma'am, hope you had a great night” I nodded with a weak smile. "I will be taking you round The Villa, we could talk about changing the interiors to something you like, introducing you to the staff and their duties too”. It sounded
I looked at the piece of jewelry on my finger and got emotional. I had a strange feeling of fear. A whole 365 days of my life. I returned upstairs and continued in with the work on my closet. I separated work clothes from my dinner dresses, lounge wear, undies and beach wear. My shoes, I arranged according to their colors, my jewelry set followed suit and my head wraps too. It took hours but it was worth it. The final result was so neat and tidy. Immediately I stepped out of the closet, and met Damien taking off his gym clothes. Those arms were nothing short of beautiful and alluring. My eyes were lost in his broad shoulders and arbs, his beautiful and spotless skin with a mini short made his groin more attractive. My hands itched to touch his chest but I couldn't. “What's wrong with your face?" Damien snapped his hands and I immediately cleared my throat and tried walking away. " Stop” I stood obediently as he walked to me. Watching him scan me with his eyes and his
Irene reluctantly picked the glass and held it without looking at me. “Eat" I instructed with a grin. Irene's face turned red and it felt like she was about to explode. “Excuse you?" She raised her voice for the first time and I knew this was the second stage of depression. Anger!!. “Listen young man, I am not … .. “ " shiiiiiiii” I shut her up before she would cause a scene. "you requested breakfast for me and it's now a big deal when I ask you for a bite?” I said smiling. Irene's eyes could kill and I still couldn't understand why she can't handle a little sarcasm. "Sit Irene! Don't make things hard" I said coldly. Irene sat down reluctantly and her anger level remained the same. “Take a bite" I maintained eye contact till she took a bite. She chewed really slow and I kept my eyes on her till she swallowed the sandwich. "That wasn't poison. You are not dead yet!" I said munching on my sausage. I dropped my cutlery and signaled the maid a few meters away to clear th
We got to the work space and closed the door. Raymond gave me a seat and signaled the tech guy who brought a laptop to me. “Sir, we were able to get the location of the hit and run driver," Raymond announced. I nodded and gazed my eyes fully on the screen. “His name is Albert. He stays at the outskirts of the city, has multiple criminal records, and is a fugitive" a team member said. I stared at the bald man's picture in front of me and wondered who had hired him. A week ago, Raymond had noticed a truck always trailing Chole. He tried to get the car's plate number but it turned out to be a fake license plate. This criminal had made an attempt on my baby girl's life. Raymond was quick to pull her out of the way before he could run her over with his car. “Get him" I instructed immediately. Raymond gathered the team members and gave instructions to them. I returned to studying.Irene's POV. I woke up at the sound of the Alarm clock on the bedside. I open
Damien had put up a show downstairs as usual and had instructed the butler to get us for breakfast. The maids and staff have never seen me all dressed up before. They stared at me surprised, smiling, envious and neutral. I got to the table and sat down far from The prince of Cabin city. I preferred to sit close to Chole . Breakfast was served and we had a peaceful breakfast unlike the day before. Damien was the first to get off the table. “Ray, get Chole to her lesson. My wife and I will be leaving soon" he sent instructions flying as soon as he dropped a spoon. I noticed how sad Damien's request made Chole, she played with her food and lost appetite immediately she heard her father. “We would drop Chole before heading to the interview" I stated clearly and seriously. Damien's eyes almost skinned me alive. He looked at his daughter and turned to me before he reluctantly agreed. Few minutes later, the maid had packed Chole's lunch box and we set out to Begin our day. We s
After the commercial break, the host turned to the questions from viewers. We were expected to answer questions from social media pages and followers. "How were you able to keep your relationship a secret till this day? “ She read the question. "My wife is a private person. It is very obvious and you all are aware. She loves her peace and quiet" Damien answered, rubbing my hand. Damien's Public display of affection was on another level on Live broadcast. Even the devil would be convinced by his act. “The last question before we call it a day. "How did your daughter react to your union? Is she happy?” She read. I glowed up at that question, finally something I had a clue about. " Yes. Chole is the sweetest angel I have met. We are buddies and she is very happy” I beamed. Damien agreed and added to my sentence. " We arrived late because we had to drop her off at her piano lesson. She insisted Irene drop off. Sometimes I feel left out in my own house. They are almost i
