“Why is that?” 

“Because it’s you. Because the father of the baby is you, and so I’m willing to give everything up for you and our child!” 

She didn’t know if Francis understood what she was saying to him, but this was how she tried to show him love and affection. She was so strong and proud that she didn’t want to be humble because of this love, but she would be like that for him.

As for Francis, he believed she was the only one for him, and he had tried his best to keep her around. Together, they had come to new, individual meanings of love, united by a shared vision of their baby’s future.
