The sound of footsteps echoed through the dark hallway that had now locked up Vivie.

The woman pulled the corners of her lips upwards as she saw a man walking towards her with firm footsteps.

"Do you miss me?" said the woman, chuckling softly. She tried to get up from hers position as the man got closer to herself which was only obstructed by the iron bars.

Vivie sighed softly. The woman touched the cold surface of her own face. Being cooped up here for a few days barefoot made her feel like she was at the poles and frozen inside.

The man didn't answer. And what he did after that was open the padlock that locked the woman.

"You must be lying when you say you don't love me anymore," said the woman with a faint grin.

"It's sickening."

After a moment of silence. Only now did the man before her let out his voice.
