A special day

I awoke to the sound of birds chirping outside my window. The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon, and I could smell the faint scent of freshly baked bread coming from the kitchen downstairs.

I sat up in bed and stretched my arms above my head, feeling the warm summer breeze coming through the open window. I took a deep breath and let the familiar smells of my home wash over me.

Today was going to be a special day, I could feel it in my bones. I had no idea what the day would bring, but I knew that I was ready for whatever came my way.

I got out of bed and made my way downstairs, the smell of the bread growing stronger with each step. I could hear the sounds of my mother moving around in the kitchen, humming a familiar tune as she worked.
