Mission ‘Find Ivory’

ANDREW POV

I opened my eyes, the sunlight streaming in through the canopy of trees above me. I was lying on the soft grass, and for a moment, I couldn't remember how I had gotten here. But then, it all came rushing back to me. The wolves, the fight, the pain. I closed my eyes again, trying to shut out the memories. But I couldn't. They were there, playing over and over in my mind. And then, I heard a voice.

"Welcome back," the voice said, and I recognized it as belonging to the Alpha. I opened my eyes and saw him standing over me. "You're safe now," he said. "But you have to rest. You took quite a beating." I looked down at myself, and saw that I was covered in bandages. "How... how long have I been here?" I asked. The Alpha smiled. "You've been unconscious for three days," he said. "You're lucky to be alive."

I tried to sit up, but the Alpha put a hand on my shoulder. "Easy," he said. "You need to take it slow. You're still healing." I nodded, and lay back down. The Alpha sat down nex
