Daphne’s POV

Rex was avoiding me!

This was getting on my nerves, and I was really trying so hard not to smack his memory back into his head.

Being ignored sucked, and the obviousness added to it, meaning he knew he was avoiding me and wasn't hiding it all.

Foremost, after we had brought him back to his senses, he talked less to his brother but didn't speak to me at all.

It was so annoying to pretend like it wasn't getting to me. He didn't seem fine, too, but if didn't stop me tell worrying.

“Give him time,” Ray whispered before squeezing my laps and dragging me back to the present.

“Aren't you worried on my behalf!” I asked him, starting at Rex's direction.

“Well the physiological doctor is coming here tomorrow to undo whatever has been done to him so no, I'm not worried” Ray teased, reminding me of what he had said about 30 minutes ago.

“I cannot help it, especially when he can't meet my eyes”
