Chapter Sixteen

Nathan was walking around the lakefront early in the morning, hoping to catch the sight of Brooke. He was at the lakefront under the pretense of jogging and exercise but the real motive behind that was to catch a glimpse of Brooke. He wasn’t much of an exercise kinda guy anyway. As the sun rose high up in the sky, he completed his last lap of jogging and turned towards the railing that separated the sidewalk and the lake. He looked ahead, taking in the beauty of the sky and the lake water shining in the bright sunlight. Early morning people were out on the sidewalk, few of them running, a few jogging and a few stretching near the benches. The young girls who were doing exercise in the area near where Nathan was standing were bending and stretching a little extra, obviously trying to get his attention. Nathan rolled his eyes. Guess the people who wanted his attention were always around him but the one whose attention he desired was nowhere to be
