The following day, after dawn, Lea was ready. Mrs. Anna had also prepared a special breakfast of marmalade bread and grilled sausages because Lea was not used to eating rice so early in the morning. Mrs. Anna was the kind of mother who never let her family members leave the house without first filling their stomachs.

Around six o'clock, Daniel arrived to pick up Lea. A private driver was at the wheel, probably so the car could be taken straight home after they both arrived at the airport later. He made small talk for a while and then took off because they had to go to Husein Sstranegara Airport, which was about half an hour away via Kebon Jati Road, which was usually quite quiet on weekend mornings like this.
