44. Dying-Rambling

"That doesn't mean we have to rush back to Mr. Kairav and to get his begging for his forgiveness."

"No, it doesn’t.” Camilla sighed.

“If I left you here alone, I could get mugged by someone. And then I wouldn't ever hear the end of it from your mum," said Celine.

Camilla huffed and crossed her arms over her chest, looking annoyed. "It's not safe for us to take a taxi home alone," she insisted.

"Look, I promise it will be okay. If something happens, just call me." Celine put her hand on Camilla's shoulder, hoping she might calm down a little. "Come on, I'm serious. Please don't make this any harder than it already is, okay?"

The look on Camilla's face changed from defiant to defeated in less than a second. She shook her head, letting out another heavy breath. Then, she held out her hand and nodded toward the taxi driver. "Okay. Fine. Let's go, but I am telling you right now that it's not worth it if we end up being hurt."
