Dark Past

The next morning I woke up alone in the bed, Nick was long gone. And I was happy and relieved for that because I didn't want to see his face after what he had done to me.

I took a warm quick shower and finished my morning routine before heading downstairs. The fever and headache were gone but I was feeling so weak. At first, I didn't want to get out of my room but I wanted to meet Rosetta, so I made my way to the kitchen.

When Rosetta saw me, she ran toward me and hugged me tightly.

"Oh, honey. I've heard what happened to you. I'm so sorry." She mumbled.

"I told him it wasn't my fault. Anyways, I missed you, Rosetta." I murmured as I hugged her back.

"I missed you too, honey. Listen, that boy didn't want to do that. It was an accident you know. He was so mad when you were gone. I can bet he missed you." He cupped my cheeks and smiled sadly.
