Running For Dear Life

Outside of the house, it was very cold, and foggy but not so dark. Every time I shivered when the sharp stoney cold breezes hit my face. We made our way to the south of the house through the large woods.

But then we heard gunfire again. This time those were fired pointing in our direction as those bullets hit several blocks of wood and their friction caused a yellowish-golden glow.

I was speechless as I even forgot how to scream. I never thought I would fall into this situation.

Bella grabbed me and quickly hid behind a fallen tree.

"They're three people here. Don't make any sound, ok?" She whispered and peeked through the tree.

She was searching and locating those men like she was the predator and they were her prey. Her every move and every glance were smooth like a shadow and sharp like a hawk.

I never witnessed her this way. But right now she looked scariest as her look and behavior finally matched.
