CHAPTER 29

The vampires attacked in unison and they were definitely well trained for this. Something else I had never seen or heard of before.

But we were just as well trained. If not, better. Because we train for this our whole lives.

We all collided with a thunderous crash, with me right in the middle of the fighting and I grabbed one vampire that was attacking another wolf and I gripped it around the neck and shook my head vigorously until its head detached from its body and then threw it away in the distance.

I felt something sharp stick into my back that I let out a roar, but before I could get the vampire off of me another warrior had already grabbed it and killed it.

I could tell right then that they were all watching out for me, as well as themselves. But also each other. Just like they had been trained. They were a pack. And no matter who hated each other inside the pack, when we are faced by an enemy like this, we are one. We work as one.

The vampires were getting through us,
