CHAPTER 49

As soon as we got to Memphis, we drove to the center of the city and saw that it was in shambles. Buildings were falling to pieces, pieces of rubble through the streets, overturned cars that were on fire.

I got out of our car and I looked around. The whole place looked familiar to me but I couldn’t place it. I tried so hard.

I started walking down the road for a bit and I stopped next to a pile of rubble. I knew that this place looked familiar but I had never been to Memphis before.

I then felt something tugging on my leg so I looked down and there was a little girl on the ground.

“Can you help me find my mommy?” She asked. And then it came crashing back to me. The dream I had. It’s the exact same.

“Sure I can sweetie. Are you all alone?” I asked, kneeling down.

“Yes. They came into our house and my mommy told me to run. So I did.” She said. I had to think for a moment, but then I remembered.

“Is your name Amora?” I asked.

“How did you know that?” She asked.
