CHAPTER 60

“What the hell happened?” Lucas asked. So Aria picked up her phone and handed it to Lucas to show him the photo.

“It’s not true. She’s not a vampire. She’s dead.” I said.

“We’re aborting the mission until we know more about these vampires.” Lucas said.

“The longer we put it off, the more chances they have to go out and kidnap people.” I said.

“I know. But they aren’t killing them. They are only feeding on them. That will buy us some time.” He said.

I took the photo off of Lucas and I sat there staring at it.

She was walking around like she was in charge. Like she was one of the sub leaders or something.

I didn’t know what the hell to think right now. My mother died when I was 4. There’s no way she’s been out there all this time and I didn’t know about it.

And if I was being such a pain in the ass to all of these vampires, why didn’t they use her against me already. That would have been the perfect way to derail me from going after them previously. Before we had organized
