Adele's POV
"Adele!" I noticed Mariah was looking paler than before. I know she needed to work harder because of my absence. But I had no other options. One after another attack was chasing me. I didn't get time to come here.
"How are you? How have you been? Do you know how much I tried to find you? But you vanished just like magic." I found her concerned tone and eyes moist. She hugged me so tightly that I could feel the same sense of warmth.
"I'm okay. Just a little accident happened back then." I smiled bitterly not knowing how to explain all these. I've never told her about my family background nor my marital status. She just knew nothing about me.
"Are you hurt? Was it serious?" She started to panic. I sighed in my mind. Long time anyone except my family cared for me like this. This meant so much to me.
