CHAPTER THIRTY THREE: GUESTS

“Stop cringing around,” I said and nodded in surrender. I allow him to make a lead and decide what to cook. I peeled the carrots while he focused slicing spices to mix for his tacos. I separated the wrapper while he’s kneading the meat gently on the basin after putting all the seasonings.

“But I’m serious,” he remarked and added saying, “I have to get starved arguing with you who’s going to cook. Fortunately, Mrs. Rovis was not your home.’

I laughed and get what he said. I makes me embarrassed that I covered my face with my hair. “I’m not used to do this. Eve my guy friends, cousins, and brothers…they let me do all the things in the kitchen.”

“I’m different. I’m not an average guys you encounter,” he answered confidently and lift his head as I glance to his direction and totally sweating his forehead. I heard my phone rang and saw it was unregistered number. I quickly hide it inside my pocket after turning it off.
