After all the emotional Ups and Downs in the last eleven days, Addison braces herself to face one last challenge on Monday: going to work again.

In order to avoid running into anyone with Javan by her side, Addison drives to work a few minutes after Javan, taking her aunt Mary’s rusty old 1989 Volvo.

Ignoring all the coworkers staring at her in the garage, the elevator, and in the hallways, Addison heads straight for Milo’s office to report back on duty.

Although Milo smiles kindly, he sounds a little stiff when he wishes her a good morning. “Glad to have you back, Addison. How are you?”

“Good.” When Milo raises his brows, Addison can feel her cheeks turning pink. “I-I mean, the last two weeks were really… eventful, but I’m glad to be at work again. I just hope that things won’t be awkward between us."

“Why would they be awkward?” Milo asks, leaning forward in anticipation.

“Um… Because you’re my supe
