CHAPTER FIFTEEN: TINY BABY STEPS AHEAD (1)

Sophia breathes in deeply before letting it all out in one go. Staring at the ingredients she had laid on her kitchen counter, she has to get moving if she wants to be done on time. She can do this and she will do this.

If this was a normal situation, she would have laughed at herself for being nervous when all she needs to do is cook for Navier. Her boyfriend already tasted her cooking before and, without a doubt, he loved every bite of every dish she already served him. But this is not really a normal situation and the nervousness she is feeling is not from any of that same joyful anxiety. This is just plain anxiety.
