Chapter 17: The Sword II
Sera excitedly ran to the center where the wooden sword was displayed. Matthew opened the cover and Sera reached out for it. As soon as the sword was in her hand, Sera felt something warm ran through her entire body. It was as if a part of her had been missing and was given back. She could feel her heart beating fast in excitement from the feeling of the sword in her hand.
The hilt felt like it was meant for her to hold and the sword’s weight felt a little lighter than she expected. Was it because it was a wooden sword and not a real blade? In her entire life, including before her death, it was the first time she held a sword. People said that the Fiore family was born to hold one so she wanted to try it even once.
Now that it was in her hands, she realized that what the people said was true. Though it was her first time, she felt like she could wield the sword easily.
