Successfully provoking the enemy, everyone's smile stiffened and turned ugly.
The moment it shoot towards them, Jerald activated her ability Earth Spike. Sharp spike started appearing around the monster, but before it could touch it, the spike started appearing around them instead.
“Illusion again!” Jerald furiously withdrew his ability. Gracea activated Ice Wall and surrounded them like a dome.
“It can't use illusion continuously. Its ability might have a countdown too.” Patrick solemnly reported.
“It's 4-5 seconds in my observation, if we could defeat it in that short of time, it wouldn't be able to use her illusion again.”
Twilight looked at everyone before settling on Farrah and Megan who's left behind. “Doctor, protect Megan. We'll fight this out. Everyone, you know what to do!”

Farrah pursed her lips, staring blankly at her zombified husband. It hasn't sunk in, but she's getting there. It's definitely better than him being a mindless monster. Though it seems that he really doesn't remember her anymore, at least he wasn't attacking her for now. Dior wasn't doing anything in particular. He was just there, sitting in one corner, dazed and looking like he's lost in his own world. Sometimes he would suddenly growl at Farrah, then would quieten as if nothing happened, seemingly wanting to communicate with her but unable to. The big reversal of things left Farrah overwhelmed too, so she also didn't speak but just continued to watch her husband in silence. She's unsure of what entails this discovery of hers, but she's d*mn well aware she wouldn't give him up in this life. If he could retain a bit of human instincts, it just means there's a huge possibility that he could become a human again—Farrah just needed to find how and why. She just needed that information

Because there are no clothes around, Dior had to stand naked inside the room. Farrah had to stop herself from laughing and quickly checked if she had wounds on her hand before washing his clothes. She was naturally careful not to get infected, but it didn't hinder her from trying to get close to her husband. Using her ability, he managed to wring out the dampness from the clothes and made them dry in just a few minutes. Dior chose a very good place because this residential area used to be the most populated. It is really good for hiding without caring about the zombies surrounding it. Also, because it was a residential area, the houses used to have vegetable gardens in their backyards. Though thick grasses has grown beside them, it was easy to clean them all up and harvest some vegetables. But it is definitely not enough. “Dior, can we go back there? Farrah thought she was hallucinating. The scene where his eyes speaks emotions kept playing in her mind even until this moment that a day had already passed. Farrah and Dior has reached another city. The population here was no less than T City. When the zombies following them arrived here, the numbers doubled and made it the most dangerous place than T City.Farrah's attention wasn't focus on this though.“Why did you order that two zombies to go back to the apartment?” She questioned, not really hoping for an answer.Dior huffed, “They, attack, surprise...” He croaked, gesturing with his hands. Days passed like nothing, but what surprised Farrah the most was the fact that even when Dior turned into a zombie, the compatibility of them haven't decreased. They pretty much survived several days in strange life pattern, though not easy. Knowing that some people wanted to kill them, Farrah decided not to stay permanently in one place, and tonight, they plan to move to another place again.Though there's still a language barrier between them, Dior pretty much just listened to all of her commands. He acts like a bodyguard ready to protect her whenever there's even just a little bit danger.“The moon is beautiful tonight,” Farrah suddenly spoke as they walk in the middle of the road. Dior paused, with a bewildered look on his face.“Yeah, moon, beautiful...” He eventually replied, nodding like a chick pecking at rice. Farrah almost burst out laughing with his reply.
