19. Trying to Compare

Angel was seen leaving the house, standing on the terrace with his eyes wandering. He was surprised to find whatever obstacles were in front of him, everything looked normal as if there was nothing.

"There aren't any fences," muttered Angel as he stepped forward. "Could it be that it was specifically made to ward off werewolves? It's just something."

"Angel..."

Angel turned his gaze towards the sound, reflexively smiling at Jack who was across the street. She immediately approached the man, still with a sweet smile on her lips. "Hi... sorry for waiting. I just got home, so I had to shower first."

"It's ok," answered Jack with his usual friendly smile. "Ready to go-"

"Just at a cafe near here," interrupted Angel. Even though he didn't one hundred percent believe Erick's words, his heart still told him that he had to be careful.

"Oh, okay." Jack smiled faintly, then took Angel's hand as he walked down the street.
