CHAPTER 51: TO SEE IS TO BELIEVE

Denver didn't know how to feel when he saw the photo his mother sent. It was annoying, frustrating, and infuriating. Especially now, seeing his mother smiling in front of him, sipping coffee, while his father was massaging her shoulders.

"I didn't know," his mother said. "I just intended to send a picture. I didn't know the camera went off."

"You are lying again," he said angrily to his mother.

"I am not. I really don't know," she said, lowering the cup she was holding and looked at the photo again. "Wait, isn't that man beside her Dr. Xyl Infantes?"

"What?" Denver snatched his mother's phone aggressively.

"Denver!"

"It can't be."

"But it is, isn't it. He's the CEO of Hope Hospital Chain, specialized in cancer patients. I heard he was also a neurosurgeon. And his best friend Grace is also a neurosurgeon. Wow."

Denver felt even more annoyed by his mother's explanation, so he just left.
