"Ah thank God, come in child!" Grandma says as she steps aside to let me into the house.

I walk to the kitchen and find my grandfather there and Dan.....sitting in sweat pants and a t-shirt looking like he has not been sleeping properly for a month!!

He looks up And our eyes meet.....

I drop my bag and run into his arms and he scoops me up onto his lap while I cry my heart out into his shoulder.

I feel his trembling body pressing mine and he puts his face in my neck, which he always loves to do and whispers sweet nothings in my ear, caressing my back. After some time we both look up after my gran clears his throat.......
