From the moment I was born, I was different.
My twin sister, Lily, was born with black hair and the presence of an inner white wolf whose power couldn't be mistaken—she was strong from the beginning, a natural luna.
Meanwhile, I was born with white hair, and to my misery, there wasn't any trace of an inner wolf within me. And although my parents have always loved me and accepted me for who I am, I've always thought of myself as an outsider being the only human in the Winterbite pack.

Maya The smell of food fills my nostrils, and I immediately crack my eyes open to get some of my usual rotten fruit and pellets on a Friday morning. If you are hungry enough, everything tastes like heaven, including rotten, magical apples. "Breakfast!" A guard announces and pushes a tray with food below the bars for me to take.
