~disrupting the fates~
Miguel and I sat together on his bed. He had taken me into his room after the fate debacle. I finally dried my tears, embarrassment replaced my sadness.
"Sorry I was weeping so much," I mumbled softly and Miguel rubbed my back.
"It's cool babe, I'm certain that you stuffed your emotions for a very long time and the proverbial dam simply broke," he replied. I side eyed him and grinned.
"You're far too intelligent for your age," I told him and he nodded.
"If they try to kill you off I will give you life, those bitches are crazy if they think I won't, becoming life has given me a treasure trove of knowledge and I will save you," Miguel stated. I chuckled internally at my soulmate.

~regret or not to regret 2~Thankfully the plane landed and we made it to the island around 11p.m. Kaeha was the caretaker for us here and was actually Life's. The polynesian man drove quickly to our hotel suite and we were actually sharing one gigantic room that butted up against the beach. I was a little confused about it because Sergio had said that we had separate areas. Kaeha said that Sergio insisted that you both got beach access and this was the best suite. I was too worn out to care and thanked him for waiting up for our flight. ~strange how time flies~ "Let's go check out the house and find some food," Miguel stated happily and pulled me down the long deck towards Kalani's huge house. "Who are our three losses, tell me now," I mumbled sourly. I could hear my father clearing his throat and sighing before he answered. "Ronaldo, Sergio and Maria," he coughed out. I closed my eyes and cursed. "Be thankful that the fates spared the children," he added and I choked.
