Chapter 30

The night could've chosen a better way to end but no, there just had to go ahead and be a noise at my balcony side. I sat up against the headboard and strained my eyes at the balcony side. It was dark outside and I had left the window opened because of the heat and now, I'm terribly regretting that decision. Ellie did not even stay with me last night. She was too sick to walk up the stairs and I was too tired to lift her hairy big body.

Asking who was there was definitely a bad idea and I'm affirmative that someone is at my balcony. There was another movement and I crawled out of bed careful not to make a sound. Could it be the robber from that night? Or Mr Simpsons murderer.  What does he want from me?
